A loophole in some of the Le Mans classes for road-going Homog vehicles allowed you get away with only building a few road going examples (none of which had to be sold, just built) so long as you made enough race cars. Nissan's R390 endurance sports car had to make 2 road cars, which were sold for $1,000,000 each back in 1995. Supposedly one was sold at discount to a rich bastard, and the other still remains sitting in Nissan's basement along with a number of other secret prototypes.

It had a 3.5l twin turbo V8. The development of that valve technology for high-rpm use tricked down into the R35 GT-R, 350z , 370z and their 4.5l V8 a decade later.
